Chatting w/ CenTex Legend John Brown & Having Been Recruited as a Military Kid

With Central Texas having several military bases, a number of prospects have to uproot due to their family's military obligations, which can possibly either be hurtful in their recruiting as a student-athlete or even establishing them a legit prospect on their own high school team. CenTex legend John Brown (Killeen Ellison/Leesville, La., '91) shares his story.

CenTex Scrimmage of the Week! Brenham vs. Manvel

Attn: CenTex Prospects! Always Hustle on the Field!

Former Alabama defensive back George Teague

Prospects should always hustle on the field no matter what! It just may help your team win a championship. In the 1993 Sugar Bowl, Alabama's George Teague chased down Miami's Lamar Thomas to make one of the best defensive plays ever in turning the momentum of the game in the Crimson Tide's favor and helping them capture the national championship. His accomplishments alone that season made him a high commodity for the 1993 NFL Draft however, many believe that this play alone, may have catapulted him into the 1st round of that draft.

Attn: CenTex Prospects! Always Play Hard! You Never Know Who's Watching!

1987 Heisman Trophy winner and newly enshrined Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Tim Brown referenced in his Hall of Fame Speech that while in high school, Notre Dame only noticed him because he scored 4 big TD's in a game that they attended with the intentions on recruiting another player on the opposite team.

The moral of this story is to always go hard, YOU NEVER KNOW WHO'S WATCHING!

TA's 2015 Cen-Tex Legit Football Combine Results!

Isaiah Vilaire ('16, Cedar Park Vista Ridge) ran the fastest 40 time in 4.46 (a 4.22 hand time).

TA's 2015 Cen-Tex Legit Football Combine provided another great turnout of participants and competition. Consisting of incoming high school freshman to the recent 2015 graduates, the young men competed hard and put in great work on the field.

Unsigned 2015 Grads

Two unsigned 2015's attended from the city of Luling and neither disappointed. Roger Miles was on a mission during both position drills and one-on-one's. Brenden Cubit worked out extremely hard as well and just needs an opportunity to play somewhere collegiately.
