CenTex '17 Prospect Spotlight! Hunter Towery, LB (Thorndale)

CenTex 2017 prospect Hunter Towery (Thorndale, 6'1" 220, 4.59) is the typical small town prospect that plays on both sides of the football. He lines up at running back on offense but defense may be his true destiny as a linebacker.  Runs hard and loves to collide with opposing players whether on offense or defense.  Has good speed. Does a great job of dropping back into coverage and running with slot receivers. Is "country boy" tough and plays the final snap like it's the first snap of the game. Towery also possesses an Ivy League type of transcript.

CenTex '18 Prospect Spotlight! Rashon Sheppard, LB (Pflugerville Connally)

CenTex 2018 prospect Rashon Sheppard (Pflugerville Connally, 5'11" 230, 4.9) is a tough linebacker that can play both on the inside and the outside. He's not afraid to collide with larger offensive linemen and makes sure tackles. Presently, Sheppard is more of a small school prospect but could change that with a huge campaign on the field in his junior year.

CenTex '18 Prospect Spotlight! Hakeem White, OT (Waco Midway)

CenTex 2018 prospect Hakeem White (Waco Midway, 6'4" 275, 5.1) should see his stock rise tremendously in his junior year.  In the trenches, he takes up a lot of space, is disciplined, keeps his feet moving, drives back and dominates defenders, and uses his hands well.  He has the body type to add 40 lbs. to his frame. White may possibly project as an offensive guard at the collegiate level and could end up with double-digit scholarship offers beforehand.

CenTex '17 Prospect Spotlight! Justin Ward-Mink, RB (Round Rock McNeil)

CenTex 2017 prospect Justin Ward-Mink (Round Rock McNeil, 5'8" 160, 4.43) is one of the exciting under-the-radar prospects on the offensive side of the ball in the Central Texas area. Possesses good peripheral vision, is both hard to locate and slippery when running between the tackles, and has a burst of speed to get past guys in the secondary. A good receiving threat out of the backfield as well.
