TA's 2014 Cen-Tex Legit Football Combine

TA’s 2014 Cen-Tex Legit Football Combine provided a great turnout of participants. Ranging from incoming high school freshman to the recently graduated class of 2014, the young men showed up and put in great work on the field.

Unsigned 2014 Grads
Six 2014 grads showed up to display their skills in hopes of finding a college home this summer including:
Austin Eatman, LB. (5’10’’, 209) (San Antonio Clark) is very fast for his position, recording the second-fastest 40-time at 4.63. His speed allows him to make plays in the backfield as well as make plays down the field.
Cameron Barrs, DE.  (5’9’’, 244) (Pflugerville) is very active on the line and has a nice very step. He is also a very confident player, which he displayed in 1-on-1’s.
Edric Scott, TE. (5’10’’, 225) (Austin Reagan) is fast for his size, which gives him an advantage against defensive backs. He also makes good plays when the ball is thrown his way.

Class of 2015 Standouts
Norman Reeves, DB. (5’11’’, 204). The Schertz Clemens product has very good form and learns new concepts very quickly from coaches.
Jeremiah Booker, WR. (6’2’’, 185) (College Station) is very gifted physically for his position. He has good leaping ability and can make plays on the ball.
Gustavo Bonilla, OL. (5’9’’, 277) (Waco Robinson) is very aggressive and plays nasty on the line. He displayed his good blocking ability in the 1-on-1’s.
Johnnie King, Jr., OL. (5’6’’, 261) (Hubbard) has good footwork and is very technically sound.
Qua Harvey, DE. (6’0’’, 233) (Belton) is a great edge rusher who uses his hands well to shed blocks. He plays with great leverage.
Clement Jones, RB. (5’4’’, 148) (Austin McCallum) has good feet, is very athletic and fluid going through motions.
Elijah Earls, DE. (5’10’’, 219) (San Antonio Stevens) is very strong and quick for his size. He often has an advantage, speed wise, to get in the backfield.
Denzel Feaster, QB. (6’1’’, 182) (Manor) can throw a good length of the field and is an accurate, hard passer. He also has good footwork going into his throws.

Younger Prospects on the Rise
Alexander Lawrence (C/O 2017), QB. (5’7’’, 145) (New Braunfels) displayed very accurate passing abilities and great consistency.
Jalen Broussard (C/O 2016), WR. (5’7’’, 132) (Pflugerville Connally) is very quick running his routes and getting in and out of his breaks.
Michael Kurfehs (C/O 2016), TE. (6’0’’, 235) (San Antonio O’Connor) is a very good, savvy route runner with good hands.

Wednesday, February 5, 2014, will be the day that thousands of student-athletes sign their National Letters of Intent with colleges and universities sports programs (at all levels) throughout the United States.  For most football players, they will be fulfilling a lifelong dream of being able to play football while receiving a college education.  All prospects are strongly encouraged to be mature when making the most important decision thus far in their lives to better educate them how to handle themselves in their careers and respective fields of study.
